Funeral services for Roger R. Appeldorn were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 1994, at the Mercer Arboretum in the Memorial Fern Garden in Houston, Texas, with Rev. Lynn Rostedt and Rev. Michale Vander Testsey officiating.
Interment was at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, Iowa, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina.

Roger R. Appeldorn, the son of Raymond H. and Ella Mesner Appeldorn, was born July 12, 1950, at
Paullina, Iowa.

He received his education in Paullina and graduated in 1968. He then went on to college at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, majoring in Floriculture and Horiculture. He moved to Houston, Texas, after graduating and pursued his life with plants till his time of death.

He passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 8, 1994, at the Park Plaza Hospital in Houston, Texas, reaching the age of 43 years and 6 months.

Roger leaves to cherish his memory his Mother and Father, [redacted] of Paullina; one brother, [redacted]
of Paullina; two sisters: [redacted]; five nephews; two nieces and two great nephews; also, a host of other relatives and friends.
