Jacqueline (Absher) Davis, 78, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.

Born October 27, 1927 in Gaston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Etta (Ross) Absher and the widow of Roger Glenn Davis.

Employed with Whitney Yarn Mill, Spartan Mills Division, she was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Ballard of Cherokee County, SC, Rita Horton and Darlene Bullman both of Spartanburg; two sons, Jimmy Davis of Spartanburg, and Ted Gantt of Cherryville, NC; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Visitation was 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006 at Heritage Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash.
