Mrs. Joseph Stasiek, 72, of 1125 South 25th street, died at her home early this morning following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church, the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mrs. Stasiek, nee Angeline Becker, was born in 1874 in Poland and at the age of four came here with her parents. She was married to Joseph Stasiek 53 years ago. He preceded her in death 16 years ago.

Survivors are seven daughters, Mrs. Emily Czapiewski, Mrs. Sophie Szewczuga, and Mrs. Henry Bieker of Milwaukee; Mrs. Paul Schmidt, Mrs. Walter Silbernagel, Mrs. Donald Bruce and Mrs. Wendelin Pfefer of this city. One son, Walter of this city; one brother, John Becker of Manitowoc; and one sister, Mrs. Veronica Pekulik of Manitowoc; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 7 this evening until time of services. The rosary will be recited by the members of the Rosary society at 7 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Stasiek was a member of the society.
