She was born in Strum, Wis., on March 16, 1911, to Anton and Minnie Nelson. She married her beloved husband, Louis D. Primus, in 1933, and lived to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary.
Lillian was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, her Catholic faith and St. John’s Catholic Church and Altar Society. She strongly supported the pro-life movement and was a powerful prayer warrior. In 2002, she was awarded the “Woman of Light” award by the Thorp Deanery. Those who knew and loved her knew she truly was a Woman of Light.
Throughout her married life, she supported and assisted her husband in his many successful businesses.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Michael, daughter, Peggy Abrahamson; three brothers, Lloyd Nelson, Floyd Nelson and Sherman Nelson; infant sister, Leah Nelson. Her husband, Louis followed her in death one year later on April 24, 2004.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Lawrence Emer), Patricia (Charles Miller), Joan (Gary Weida), Judy (Joe Geis); son-in-law, Bernard Abrahamson; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mabel Thompson, violet (Elmer Hass), Leah Nelson, Margaret (Ellis Van Horn) and Claire (Earl Van Horn).
Her Resurrection Mass was celebrated at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fairchild, Wis., on May 3, 2003. A memorial Mass was also celebrated in Green Valley, Ariz., on May 7, 2003.
Precious Lillian positively touched many people’s lives and is greatly missed by all who loved and admired her.
