"Manuel Gutierrez 84, of Corpus Christi, passed away Friday, August 4, 2006 at his residence. Manuel was a veteran of WW II serving with the United States Army. Prior to his retirement he had been employed with Mayflower Moving Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and a son, Lewis Gutierrez.
"He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carmen Gutierrez.; daughter, Gloria Gutierrez of Woodbridge, Virginia; two sons, Richard Gutierrez of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Armando Gutierrez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Stephanie Carter, Robert Rowland, Robyn Stanley, Andrea Gutierrez, Deborah Rock, Armando Gutierrez, Jr., Great Grandchildren, Derek Carter, Zachary Stanley, Devan Carter, Madison and Morgan Rock; three sisters, Beatrice Madrigal of San Jose, California, Eliza Gellingham of Fresno, California, and Irma Sudduth of Sunnyvale, California; brother, Raul Gutierrez of Corpus Christi, Texas.
"Visitation and rosary were conducted Aug. 6 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass was celebrated Aug. 7 at Corpus Christi Cathedral. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
