She was born July 28, 1909, in Lawrenceville, a daughter of Ernest Steffey and Agnes (Gosnell) Steffey.
She was a librarian at Parkview Jr. High and retired as librarian at Wabash Valley College. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville and a member of the Laureate Beta Theta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
Survivors include one brother, Harold Steffey, Lawrenceville; a sister, June Talbot, New Jersey; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville on Saturday, March 19, with Rev. Dan Lybarger officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Parkview Library through the Smith Funeral Home, in Lawrencevill.
