Died Monday, Jan. 20, 1986, at Greenwald Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Gurley and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Desselle's Funeral Home from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday. Wake services at Second Baptist Church at 8 p.m. Friday. Religious servives at the church at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. L. Cyrus. Burial in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by a daughter, Hattie B. Johnson, Baton Rouge; a granddaughter, Brenda B. King, Daly City, Calif.; four grandsons, Wayne Banks, SanFrancisco, Calif., Michael and Gregory Banks and Clinton Ray Johnson, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Madelyn Pope and Louise Brown, both of Oakland, Calif.; a brother, Frank Collins, Baton Rouge; two sisters-in-law, Rosa and Thelma Collins, both of Baton Rouge; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lee Banks, Baton Rouge; three aunts, Martha Houston and Helen Nelson, Baton Rouge, and Viola Coleman, Chicago, Ill.; four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Robertand Luvilla Nelson Collins; and a son, Anthony C. Banks. She was a member of Second Baptist Church 62 years; and member of senior choir. She was a member of OES Golden Leaf 16 and Ricard-Stewart American Legion Auxiliary 505.
