Corrine LeeEtta Severin, 83 of Kewaunee, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, September 4, 2015.She was born June 22, 1932 in Sturgeon Bay. The youngest child of Victor & Belle (Franklin) Londo. Corrine went to high school in Sturgeon Bay, but graduated from Kewaunee high school in 1950. She married Robert "Sub" Severin on October 10, 1953 at St. Joseph's church in Sturgeon Bay. Together they started their life, and made Kewaunee their home, raising their 5 children, Kelli, Kim, Julie, Cindy & Mike. They were blessed with almost 62 years of marriage. Corrine worked in the hot lunch program for the Kewaunee School System for 25 years before retiring. She was always known as "The Lunch Lady to former students of all ages.Mom was the glue that held our family together. Her life revolved around her children, she was very selfless, generous, and gentle. She loved watching her grandchildren grow, and was their biggest cheerleader at their sporting events. She cherished all family gatherings, especially Christmas. She loved her visits with her great grandchildren, enjoyed a good card game, and appreciated the simple things in life. She was an avid Packers fan, and especially loved Brett Favre. She was in her glory in July, attending his induction banquet. It was truly a most memorable night for her.The unconditional love she had for her family will forever live on in the hearts of her husband, Robert. Her children Kelli (Merlin) Obry, Kewaunee. Kim (Norbert) Smidel, Two Rivers. Cindy (and special friend Kevin Pankratz), Kewaunee. Mike (Mary) Severin, Manitowoc. Her eight grandchildren, Troy Obry, Travis Obry (special friend Missy), Tricia (Joseph) Nemecek, Craig (Wendy) Smidel, Chad Smidel, Cory (Sarah) Smidel, Jessica (Jason) Thor, Hannah Severin (special friend Ryan). Her 8 great grandchildren, Mason & Austin Nemecek, Ian Wilsman, Kailey Smidel, Ryder & Addison Smidel, Hayden & Scarlett Thor. And one sister, Virginia Stellwagen of Green Bay.Corrine was welcomed into heaven by the arms of her daughter Julie, her parents Victor & Belle Londo, her sisters Marie Kummer, Clara Johnson, and brother Victor Londo II, Mother in-law Anne Severin, brother-in-laws, Walter Severin, Roger Severin, Edwin Kummer, Richard Johnson, Edward Stellwagen, and so many family & friends. A wake service will be held at 4:00 on Tuesday, September 8, at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Kewaunee followed with a prayer service at 7:00 pm Led by Kathy Zeman, Pastoral Minister. Viewing will continue in the morning before the service at Buchanan's. A celebration of Corrine's life will take place on Wednesday, September 9, at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Kewaunee with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. James Dillenberg. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary cemetery.
