Alfini, Helen (nee Johnson), born February 20, 1916 died July 3, 2011. She served in the Public Health Department as a Registered Nurse upon graduation from Michael Reese School of Nursing. Beloved wife of 70 years of the late William R. Alfini, Sr.; loving mother of William Jr. (Cherri) Alfini, Louise Alfini, John (Patricia) Alfini, Raymond (Susan Roberts) and their son Gage Alfini and Maria Alfini; proud grandmother of Ras Alfini, Susie (Joe) Pepp, Naomi Alfini (David Wendt), Tina (James) Mundschau, Alfonso Alfini and Anthony Alfini; dearest great grandmother of Michael and Dylan Mundschau; fondest "Mama Mia" to her loving caregivers Nila and Nina. She will always be remembered as a generous supporter of the arts. She advanced progressive and environmental causes in the name of helping those less fortunate and without voices. Helen donated her body to medical science and a memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Please donate to your favorite charity.
