Carroll Hess Perry was born on April 9, 1927 in Haywood County, Tennessee, and he was the son of Mattie Sarah (Joyner) (Perry) Castellaw (1890–1951) and her 1st husband John Turner Perry Sr (1889–1956).
He was married about 1947 to Ann Katherine Frazier (1932–2016), the daughter of William Clyde Frazier (1902–1971) and Eunice (Choate) Frazier (1910–1975).
Living in Goodlettsville, he was an active member of Goodlettsville Church of Christ where he served as an usher and door greeter, visited shut-ins and helped pack boxes for the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort for as long as his health allowed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with friends, but most of all his greatest joy was his family.
Carroll was 86 years old and married when he passed away on April 29, 2013.
Survivors included his widow Anne Kathryn Perry, two sons and a daughter-in-law, three married daughters, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, sisters Olive Marie White and Mildred Sullivan Greene and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Services were held on May 2nd, and burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville.
