Mrs. Free was born in Taylor County to the late Otis and Ira Bell Albriton. She and her late husband George Free were grocers and owners of Free's Grocery in Thomaston, she also worked at Thomaston Mills in the Spooler Dept. She was a member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Free is preceded in death by her husband George Eugene Free. Survivors are her sons, Ronnie (Lavanda) Free of Carolton GA; and Roy Free of Thomaston; brother, Jullian Albriton of Thomaston; and niece, Janice Albriton of Thomaston. Two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services for Mrs. Free will be held on Saturday June 21, 2014 at 11:00 am in Southview Cemetery.
