rs. Emil Slager, 69, lifelong resident of the town of Franklin, died this morning
at Holy Family hosptial following an illness of three months.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Saur funeral home in
Kellnersville and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic church in Kellnersville, the
Rev. Frank Svatek officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Slager, nee Barbara Dufek, was born in Franklin in 1880 and was married
to Mr. Slager in 1901. They operated the Dufek homestead farm.
Survivors are the husband; three sons, Edward of Menominee, Mich., Michael
of Rosecreans and Louis at home; two daughters, Mrs. Norbert Nate of Whitelaw
and Mrs. Clarence Hermann of Branch; sister, Mrs. John Bowen of St. Cloud,
Minn.; and eight grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Saur funeral home from 6 p.m. Thursday until
time of services on Saturday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
