Geneva (Jenny) Odessa Avera went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 91.
She was born to Molly and Henry Pinegar on September 28, 1923 in Higgins, Texas.
Jenny was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: James, Melba, Charles, Harold, Mary and Allen.
She is survived by her son, Michael Dan Meshew (wife Terri); sisters, Edwina, (Winn) Studer and Sharon Mascurro (husband John); grandchildren, Ben Meshew (wife Erin) and Catherine Meshew; great-granddaughter, Alivia Ivens and by numerous nieces and nephews.
During her days here with us, Jenny touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. She gave us a lifetime of love and memories.
Jenny's family would like to thank her Vitas Hospice Care Team #551 who looked after her needs so compassionately for the last seven months. Especially Mary, Becky, Virginia, and Shanae. You cared for us all like we were your own family. THANK YOU.
Visitation for Jenny will be held Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Services will continue at the funeral home chapel Monday, September 21, 2015 at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park North.
