Deborah was the daughter of Abraham and Lydia C. Ruth White Staples, born at home in Mendon, Massachusetts.

On 26 April 1759 Deborah married Joseph Marsh in Mendon. Together, she and Joseph had 8 children from records I've located. Their older children were born in Massachusetts, but I'm uncertain when the family moved to Vermont.

I've been unable to locate any information regarding Deborah's death or burial via online research. However, her daughter, Chloe, and her husband and young son are buried in Gill Cemetery in Hartland. Her husband, Joseph, also has a marker in the same plot (no dates), so I assume Deborah is buried with her husband in an unmarked grave.

I'm headed tomorrow for the New England Historic Genealogical Society (Boston) and am hoping to locate some information regarding Deborah's life and death, as well as her husband's as he likewise has no death record I could find online. I will also be researching at the Woodstock, Hartland, and State History Centers in Vermont after I leave Boston. Hopefully some information will be found.

Deborah is my 5X Great Grandmother and her husband Joseph my 5X Great Grandfather. I look forward to learning something about their lives while I'm in New England.
