April 19, 1928 - September 20, 2015
On Sunday September 20, 2015 at 6:15 pm, our mother Laurice Khazoum Daoud passed away in peace. She was born April 19, 1928 in Damascus, Syria to Hanna Khazoum and Frida Karagala.
We are grateful to all who lovingly cared for her at Park Bend Medical Center and all the friends and family that were around her.
A loving mother and grandmother, she was 87 years old. Laurice was a very strong woman. She is survived by her children: Henriette Mansour, Ghassan Mansour, Ibrahim Daoud, Issa Daoud, Adele Homsieh; 11 grandchildren: Christine and Sherine Mansour, Elie and Lili Elteen, Lara, Michel and Vladimir Daoud, Rita and Fadi Homsieh, and Michel and Mayra Daoud; and 8 great-grandchildren: Cindy, Tia, Riad, Taym, Rony, Karla, Alyssa, and Aiden. She was there for the birth of every grandchild and great-grandchild. She lived a full life visiting her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren all over the world cooking for them and loving them.
She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26th at Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church, 1320 E. 51st St, with a reception to follow in her honor. Interment will follow the reception at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
