Mrs. Olevia E. Barnum, wife of Raynolds Barnum, 619 West Sixtieth Street, died last night after an illness of three years. She was living temporarily at the Newbern Hotel.
She was born In Burlington, Iowa and at an early age was taken by her parents to Holdredge, Neb. Her father A. P. Erickson is 96 years old and lives in Holdredge. She was educated in the schools there and at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
On August 19, 1901, she was married to Raynolds Barnum and they came to Kansas City in 1907. Mr. Barnum entered the insurance business here. Mrs. Barnum was active in music circles and in social life.
Funeral services will be Wednesday. Interment will be in the mausoleum of Mt. Moriah Cemetery. (Kansas City Times, Missouri, Tuesday, September 8. 1942)
