Maynor was a disabled coal miner and a member and deacon of the Pax Advent Christian Church. Survivors include four brothers, Sherman Hansford Maynor (1923-1988) and Melvin Phillip Maynor (1936-2009), Henry "Frank" Maynor Jr. (B. 1925) of Brooklyn and Thomas "Ray" Maynor (1929-1990) of Clear Creek, and two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Maynor-Williams (B. 1928) of Mount Hope, and Mrs. Frances Maynor-Williams of Clear Creek.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Pax Advent Christian Church with the Revs. Homer Hizer and Fred Gardner in charge. Burial will be in Ewing Creek/Toneys Fork Cemetery at Clear Creek. Maynor. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM today at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
