NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Clynes Babineaux, the former Evelyn Delahoussaye, age 96, at 10:00 am Friday, October 2, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Garrett Savoie officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.
A native of St. Martinville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Babineaux passed away at 4:35 pm on September 29, 2015 at Camelot of Broussard.
Mrs. Babineaux was a loving and caring woman. She volunteered at Dauterive Hospital as a Pink Lady and also served with the KC Ladies Auxiliary. She will best be remembered for her love of playing Bingo and Pokeno, trips to the Casino, and gardening. Evelyn loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Babineaux and wife Marilyn of New Iberia; daughter, Margaret B. Richard of Lafayette; grandchildren, Russ Richard and wife Missy, Andy Richard and wife Susan, Blane Richard and wife Debbie, Donnie Richard and wife Kari, Mika Babineaux and wife Karen, Vicki Richard, and Brad Babineaux and wife Angela; great grandchildren, Cody Richard and wife Abi, Blair Richard, Brock Richard and wife Brittany, Jenna Richard, Courtlyn Richard, Jordan Richard, Brittni Griffith and husband Patrick, Kayli Richard, Ashlyn Richard, Sydney Richard, Brandt Babineaux, Emily Babineaux, and Addison Babineaux; great great granddaughter, Ashtyn Richard; and sister, Rosemary Waters of Amite.
