His mother is a descendant of a GILMORE, as in 1880 and on the 1880 Iowa Co., WI census, he was residing with his mother's GILMORE cousin, Catherine (GILMORE) McArdle # 105227199, in Mineral Point, Iowa Co., WI. I know they were cousins as Mary and (and Mary's sister or another Gilmore cousin), visited Catherine and my GG Grandmother, Mary Jane (Gilmore) Collins # 101375814, as noted in the Mineral Point, WI paper (See below transcript. Also see their FAG memorials. Thomas later later becoming a Stone Mason, have to wonder why he was there and why didn't we have photos passed on within my family, maybe they were but with no names wrote on back, were tossed? Any with the Larkin Family Photos in Philadelphia?

p.254: 26 Apr 1873 OF BRIDGET AND MARY BURNS,their parents' names are James Burns and Ann Magee; also, of Mary Dermod, her mother's name is Catherine Magee, native of the town of Sharcog, County Cavan; when last heard from, 22 years ago, Bridget and Mary Burns were living with their parents in Sharcog, Mary Dermod in Dundee, Scotland, with her mother; supposed to be now in the United States. If this should meet their eye, or any of their relations or acquaintances, they will confer a favor on their cousin, Catherine Gilmore, by writing to John McArdle, Mineral Point, Wis.
