Mrs. Nida HIEMSTRA - 701 16th St., Otsego, died Tuesday morning, March 3, 1998. Nida was born February 5, 1915 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Walter and Carrie (BULLARD) ANDERSON, and was a lifelong resident here. Prior to her retirement in 1977, she was employed by 18 years at Peter Eckrich and Sons. She was a former member of Women of the Moose, Kalamazoo/Portage Lodge. Her husband, Albert preceded her in death in 1986; and she was also preceded by a son Walter; a grandson Randy; and by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are 3 sons, Edwin (Sally) HIEMSTRA of Pullman, Ron HIEMSTRA of Kalamazoo , and Kevin (Shardale) HIEMSTRA of Otsego; 10 grandchildren, Rodney, Ronda, Renee, Rex, Raymond, Rocky, Reggie, But Kevin, Albert and Benjamin; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Private services will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
