Funeral services for Moreen Chenoweth Petree, 77, of Tuttle, were held Monday in the Tuttle Christian church with Rev Dan Wilson officiating. Mrs Petree was born 10/5/1905 in Wheatland, Oklahoma Indian Territory, and passed away early Friday morning in Grady Memorial hospital, Chickasha, following a short illness. She married Cloyce Petree in 1927 and he preceded her in death 7/21/1931. She moved to the Tuttle area in May 1916. She was a teacher in the Tuttle, Pocassett, El Reno, & Shawnee schoo;s. She was a member of the Tuttle Christian church, Oklahoma Teachers Association, National Education Association, and Retired Grady County Teachers Association. She was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Robert. She is survived by 2 sons, Jim Petree of Hays, Kansas, and Pete Petree of San Diego, Calif, 1 brother, Steve Chenoweth of Tuttle, 1 sister, Armilda C. Campbell of Sentia, OK, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier
Tuttle funeral home.
