Mrs. Alice L. Conavay, 79, of Springfield died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Hospital.

She was born Nov. 5, 1910, in Springfield, the daughter of Albert and Rose Duker [sic] Bowman.

She married Leslie Conavay in 1926 in Springfield, and he died in 1987.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Bowman; and three sisters, Rose Rebaugh [sic], Mary Carnduff and Cecelia Howe; and one grandson.

She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Eileen "Connie" Minett of Springfield; three sisters, Margaret Sponsler and Katherine Biesenthal, both of Springfield, and Eva Jones of Brush Prairie, Wash.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ellinger-Kunz and Davis Funeral Home and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
