Ralph "Big Car" Goodwin, 67, passed away Oct. 22, 1996. He was born Feb. 27, 1929 in Stratford, Ok. to John Sr. & Elizabeth Goodwin. A resident of Moore since 1959, he previously lived in the Stratford & Ada areas. Ralph retired in 1991 after 33 years as a truck driver with Transcon. He was preceded in death by a son, David Goodwin on Jan 20, 1982. Survivors include sons, Charles L. & wife Barbara Goodwin of OKC, & Mark A. Goodwin of Moore; daughter, Donell L. & husband Jim Houts of Edmond; brothers, John of Santa Monica, Ca, Lindy "Rabbit" of Francis, Ok & James "Topper" Goodwin of Kingston, Ok; sister, Betty Duncan of Idabel, Ok; grandchildren, Amee' M., Dylan, Dior, Courtney, David Goodwin & Cory Liston. Ralph's family hopes he will be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit. We all loved him and will miss him greatly. We know he was not ours to keep, but God's. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the South Colonial Chapel with interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
