On Sunday, May 25, 2014, Dennis Williams, age 63, left his family on earth to join his family and friends in the arms of the angels.

Dennis was born on July 19, 1950, to Robert and Eileen (Preston) Williams in Madison. He graduated Wonewoc High School in 1968. He furthered his education graduating from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse in 1975. On October 14, 1988, he married the love of his life, Lynne Jefferson, off the coast of Maui. His job as an antique dealer brought him great joy, searching everywhere for the unusual. He had passion and an eye for capturing beauty through his photography. In his free time he enjoyed golfing and loved to cook.

Dennis knew that the true measure of a man was not based on physical wealth and success, but instead, on the relationships and friendships he held dear in his life. He knew the universe holds more than man's eye can see. Even near the end of his life here, he was never afraid of what was to come.

Dennis went to join his mother Eileen; his sister Janis Brueggeman; his nephew, Dan Simon; his mother and father-in-law, James and Valeria, and many other relatives and friends.

He is survived by his wife Lynne; his father, Robert (Regina) Williams of Mauston; brothers and sisters: Randy Williams of Madison, Kathleen Williams of Fort Washington, PA, Timothy Williams of Reedsburg, Kristine Simon of Mauston, Sharon (Kent) Sormrud of Chetek, Robert Williams Jr. of Madison; fifteen nieces and nephews, twenty-nine great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 11:30 am, at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow services at Pine Eden Cemetery in Wonewoc.

The family would prefer memorials be given to Second Harvest Food Bank (2802 Dairy Dr. Madison, WI 53718).

Farber Funeral Home of Reedsburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
