Ramon Aguilera, of Anahuac, passed away in Brenham, Texas on Saturday, October 24, 2015. He was born on July 6, 1924 in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, the son of the late Pablo and Anselma Hernandez Aguilera. Ramon enjoyed the farm life and wanted nothing more than to be a cowboy. He was a dedicated family man, helping his family in Mexico with their fruit and vegetable warehouse. Ramon moved to Anahuac and began working at Sherman Home Center, where he spent thirty years working in the building materials retail and was an equipment operator. He later moved his wife Maria to Anahuac where they lived happily for many years. Ramon enjoyed walking, gardening, cooking and holding conversations with others. He loved attending church and was a member of Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in Anahuac.
Ramon was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maria Luisa Perez Aguilera; his son, Pablo Aguilera; and his brother, Elotereo Aguilera. He is survived by his children, Bertha Aguilera and husband Jose Cornejo, Otilia Orozco and husband Jose Luis, Ignacio Aguilera and wife Maria, Ernesto Aguilera, Raul Aguilera, Aurora Aguilera and husband Martin Nava, Lourdes Aguilera and Fransica Aguilera and husband Martin Jimenez; his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

Ramon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation with the family will be held from 5pm until 8pm on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main, Anahuac, Texas, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 2207 S. Main, Anahuac, Texas. Rite of Committal will immediately follow in Anahuac Cemetery.
