Dies Tuesday Night
Mrs. Cora Corthup, 98, of 24 Alvena Ave., an area resident most of her life, died last night at Cortland Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Burton Northup, who died in 1971.
Mrs. Northup was born Oct. 27, 1873 in New York State, the daughter of Horace and Melonia Oaks Perkins.
Surviving are a sister, Grace Maycumber of Cortland; two grandsons, Clayton Phillips of Cortland and Leon Phillips of Marathon; and two great-grandchildren, Deborah and Steven Phillips of Marathon.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Wetherbee of Lapeer officiating. Interment will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
