Mr. Perkins was born in Virgil and after his marriage to Miss Laura M. Oaks he moved to the vicinity of South Cortland and for several years he sold vegetables in the city and became well known here. He had lived in Cortland about eight years.
Besides his wife he leaves six daughters and two sons: Mrs. Martin Williams of McGrawville, Mrs. Charles Slocum of Virgil, Mrs. Eugene Lang of Harford, Mrs. F. Seager, Mrs. Merton Tuthill, Mrs. Edwin Maycumber, and Fred J. Perkins of Cortland, and Frank Howard Perkins, whose address is not known.
