Widely known leader in the Congregational Church. Former president of the Hartford Federation of Churches. Interim pastor of Center Church.

Mr. Mills was a permanent resident of Jaffrey, New Hampshire when he died at the Alabama Hotel, Winter Park, Florida, where he had been over three months, of cerebral apoplexy and arteriosclerosis.

His wife was Alice Morris Mills, who predeceased him.

His parents were Charles Lewis Mills, of New Jersey and Rebecca, also of New Jersey.
