Harold G. "Bud" Warner

Port Huron- Harold Grover "Bud" Warner, 81 passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2004.
He was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus and his wife, Ruth Elaine, his partner in marriage for 57 years, who was received in Heaven March 5, 2004.
Bud was born on May 6, 1923 to Herschel Lloyd Warner and Emily Francis MacDonald in Port Huron.
He served out country during the World War II as part of the 29th infantry division and fought in the Normandy invasion battles of the Rhine River, the Ruhr River and Saint Lo. He was a long time member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Bud was a life long resident of Port Huron and spent many years working for the City of Port Huron as a plumbing inspector.
Bud was known for his love of humorous stories and jokes and enjoyed wintering in Florida with his special friends and neighbors at Heartland R.V.
He will be missed by his son and daughter-in-law Mark and Karen Warner of Fenton, daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Jim Schultz of Springfield, MO., sister Margaret Wade, of Port Huron, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph C. (Clyde) and Marge Warren of Port Huron; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Rene L. Desmarais will officiate. Burial will follow in Kinney Cemetery, with military rites under direction of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Karrer Simpson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Jones, David Schultz, James Warner, Arthur Vogel, Bob Morden, and Bill Sibilla.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Cystic Fibrosis, or the Woman's Life Insurance Society.
