Mr Miller was killed last Wednesday afternoon when the car he was driving struck a freight train here.

John Wesley Miller, son of Jacob and Armilda Miller, was born near Montezuma Powesheik county, Iowa, January 26, 1862, and died at Bayard, Iowa, May 18, 1938 at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 22 days. His father passed away leaving John, then only a lad of fourteen. They moved to Kansas but only remained there two years when he returned to Iowa. While yet in his teens he moved to South Dakota, where he resided for eighteen years, after which time he moved to the vicinity of Bayard, Iowa, where he resided on a farm for the last thirth-five years.
