The Huntsville Times, Huntsville, Alabama Thursday, August 23, 1956: Mrs. Ella Mason, Age 86, Interred. Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs. Ella Mason, 86, of Fayetteville, Tenn., who died yesterday at 3:55 p.m. at the Lincoln County Hospital after a five weeks' illness. Services were at 3 p.m. from Charity Church with the Rev. Virgil Harman officiating. Interment was in Charity Cemetery with Laughlin-Service Funeral Home directing. Surviving are five daughters, Misses Ebbie and Flory Mason, Fayetteville, Mrs. Irene Williamson of Lincoln County, Tenn., Mrs. Ruth Graves of Birmingham and Mrs. Dana Brooks of Toney; five sons, Oscar Mason of McMinnville, Tenn., Arthur and Joe Mason of Huntsville, Dan Mason of Gardendale, Ala.; and Sidney Mason of Lauderdale County; one brother, Riley Pitts of Fayetteville. Active pallbearers were Milton Mason, James Mason, Robert Graves, Mack Williams, Marshall Brooks, Bobby Mason and Terrell Hughes. Mrs. Mason was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., and was the widow of the late J. M. Mason.
