Memorial funeral services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, with Pastor Vicki Simon officiating. Visitation will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
Don was born March 25, 1942, in Port Washington, the son of Clarence and Anna (Dowe) Arndt. For most of his life Don was a farmer, of which he was very dedicated to his work. He also enjoyed socializing and playing cards with his friends.
Don is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Mark) Gill of Lyndon Station, Judith (Francis) Schwichtenberg of Burnsville, Minn., and Susan (Charles) Heim of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Lucas, Timothy (Jamie), Harrison, Joseph, Mercedes, Ryan and Joshua; great grandchildren, Damien, Allysa, Braeden, Payton and Charles; a sister, Ruth (Donald) Theys and sister-in-law, Sandra Arndt both of Cedarburg; Don was an uncle to Tracy and Troy; and godfather to Rebecca.
He is further survived by numerous extended family and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and William and brother in law, Richard Moenenburg.
The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center, St. Jude Hospice, Mile Bluff Clinic and University of Wisconsin Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
