Note by Don Weaver:
The best available records indicate that Carmen (Weaver) Nelson was born in 1903 and not in 1912 as listed on her headstone. For example:

1) Carmen is listed in the 1910, Arizona, U.S.Census, as age 7. She is living with her Father Edward C. Weaver, and mother, Della Weaver, and sister Ouida Weaver. Her age indicates that she was born in 1903;

2) Carmen Weaver married Loretz some time between 1910 and 1925. She remarries in California in 1925 to Walter Curtis Bowden. Her age is listed as 22, which indicates that she was born in 1903;

3) Carmen (Weaver) Bawden is living with her husband, Walter C. Bawden in the 1930 California, U.S. Census. They have two sons living with them, Gordon J. Bawden, age 4, and Wayne Bawden, age 1. Carmen's age is listed as 27, which indicates that she was born in 1903;

4) Carmen (Weaver)(Bawden) Coleman, is listed with her two sons, Gordon Bowden and Wayne Bowden, in the 1940, California, U.S. Census. Carmen's age is listed as 34, indicating that she was born in 1906.

The evidence listed above indicates that Carmen (Weaver)(Bawden) Nelson was in fact born in 1903 and not in 1912 as indicated on her headstone and on her California Death Certificate.
Note by Don Weaver:
Photo is of Carmen Weaver merged with her daughter standing. Her half brother, Alonzo Jason Weaver, took the photo in California between 1925 and 1930. Carmen was married to Loretz; Bawden; Coleman; and then to Nelson. Carmen sometimes listed her maiden name as GLEASON, but in fact her maiden name was WEAVER.

The other photo is of Carmen's father, Charles Webster Weaver, taken in about 1920.
