Brigette Hermiston Ehlke, 31, of Helena died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, from the result of a tragic auto accident near Missoula.
She was born Oct. 13, 1974, to John and Carol Hermiston in Plains. Brigette grew up in Plains and then spent her adult life between Montana and Alaska, always wanting to be where her family needed her most. After she married her true love, Matt, they made their home in Helena with their two children, Lindsey and Blayne.
Her love of family and friends, horses and cowboy boots will always be in our hearts.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Matthew; her beautiful daughter, Lindsey and her handsome boy, Blayne; her loving family, mom, Carol Hermiston of Plains; sister, Pam (Steven, Braxton, Allison) Cline; brother, Eric (Christy, Blake, Brett) Widman, all of Wasilla, Alaska; brother-in law Mark (Della, Lacey, Janea) Ehlke of Townsend; sisters-in-law Lisa (Lance, Jeremy, Fallon, Mackenzie) Strauch of Belgrade; Becky (Gary, Mike and fiance Rori, Jason, Jesse, Amanda) Miner of Olympia, Wash.; Leanne Ehlke of Helena; mother- and father-in-law, Joyce and Leon Ehlke of Helena; grandparents, Roy and Margaret Lacock of Paradise; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many cherished extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her dad, John Hermiston, and grandparents, Charlotte and Jack Hermiston.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ehlke Ranch at Townsend. (Directions to service: Highway 12 from Townsend towards White Sulphur Springs, take a left turn just past mile marker 9, then left on Lippert Gulch Road, go one mile and take the left fork in the road.) In lieu of flowers, a benefit fund has been set up for Brigette Ehlke's children at any Wells Fargo Bank. Garden City Funeral Home in Missoula is assisting the family with the arrangements.
