He was retired military of 22 years and served on the USS Bennington, Lexington and Oriskany.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Valeriana Garcia; parents, Andres Garcia, Sr. and Guadalupe Garcia; and grandmother Rafaelita Garcia.
He is survived by his daughters, Norma V. (Samuel) Tiscareno, Nora V.,( Vincent) Casanova, Nelda Y. (Homar) Gonzalez, Noreen V. (Rick) Adame, Nancy A. Garcia, Norisa V. (Fernando) Trevino and Noelia V. (Wesley) White; brothers and sisters, Tomas Garcia, Jose M. Garcia, Lita Rivas and Nancy Zamora; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Our loving father will reunite in heaven to dance with our loving mother. (Dance away Dad and Mom.)
Visitation and a rosary were held July 11 at Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral mass was celebrated July 12 at Ss. Cyril and Methodious Catholic Church.
Interment followed at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
