Services for Wilbert McKean will be held at 10:30 Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Craig Mansfield officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery with military graveside rites by Amvets Post 1994.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 Friday, November 15, 2013 at Price Funeral Home in Kenton.
He died at 3:55 am Sunday, November 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1926 in Kenton to the late Edgar and Mary Jane (Burger) McKean. On October 23, 1944 he married Emma Lou Samons and she preceded him in death on November 20, 1991.
Surviving are 2 daughters Joann Mohn of Kenton and Mary (Loyd) Roy of Kenton, 2 sons Larry (Lek) McKean of Biloxi, MS, and Kenneth McKean of Findlay, 9 grandchildren Jeffrey Mohn of Kenton, Lisa (Paul) Manns of Alger, Linda (Richard) Clark of Kenton, Phillip (Bobbi Jo) Drumm of Forest, Timmothy (Mary Helen) McKean of MS, Wanda D. (Matt) Noblitt of Biloxi, MS, Jady (Jody) McKean of Ada, Rodney McKean of Dunkirk, BreAnn Perkins of Findlay, serveral great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and 2 sisters Evelyn (Robert) Scott of Kenton and Patricia McKean of
Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Sean McKean and 4 brothers Charles, Richard, Harry, and Lester McKean.
Wilbert retired from North Electric then worked at Wilco and International Car. He was an Army veteran serving during WWII.
