Mildred Kay Jones Mantle

Mildred Kay Jones Mantle, age 73, died of uterine and ovarian cancer on November 17, 2015 at home in Kearns, Utah.
Kay is survived by her husband, George Eugene Mantle, of Kearns, Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Vernon "Buck" and Ethel King Jones, a sister, Doris Beach and two brothers, Clifford Jones and Glen Jones. She is also survived by sisters, Peggy, Velma, Laura and Carla, brothers, Stanley, Dwayne and John.

Kay Mantle was born on January 30, 1942 in Lehi, Utah. She graduated from Jordan High School in Midvale, Utah.

Kay married George Eugene Mantle in the Salt Lake Temple on November 1, 1973. They were not able to have children.

Kay loved her family and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held many positions.

Kay was a socially active woman who was deeply involved in painting, sewing and love the outdoors and nature. Her family and friends will always remember Kay for her positive attitude and always taking life's events with a laugh and a smile.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mildred Kay Mantle's life. A funeral service is scheduled for November 23, 2015, 12:00 p.m. at the Kearns 10th Ward Chapel, 5025 West 4865 South, Kearns, Utah. A visitation will be held Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the day of the servicer at the church from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.

The family would like to thank the many doctor's and staff at the Utah Cancer Specialists and the wonderful care she received from the staff of Quality Home and Hospice service, for making her last days as pleasant as possible.

What a special person Kay was. I had not seen her for years, but her and her sister Doris and I were really close friends during our high school days. You will truly be missed Kay, you were a precious soul. Rest in Sweet Eternal Peace dear friend.
