Frank J Clark, 94, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully November 20, 2015, at his home in Lincoln Court Retirement Community.


Frank was born August 23, 1921, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Frank Clark and Roselie Lords Clark. He grew up and attended schools in Taylor, Idaho. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Boatswainfs Mate 2nd Class, on the U.S.S. Prometheus.


On January 1, 1942, he married Melba Cook in Idaho Falls. To this union were born three children, Jessica, Frank Norris, and Sue. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on January 12, 1988. Frank and Melba made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Melba passed away September 27, 2015. Frank started Clark Brothers Construction in 1963 and remained president until his retirement in 1983. Clark Brotherfs built several churches and schools throughout the area.


He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Melba and Frank were called to serve a mission@at the Idaho Falls Temple Visitors Center in February of 1993. @Melba and Frank also@served a mission in Bismarck, ND, and oversaw the construction of the temple, November of 1998 through May of 2000.


He enjoyed construction and traveling with his wife. Frank and Melba enjoyed working together to build their three homes and a cabin in Island Park.


Frank is survived by his


daughter, Jessica (Larry) St. John of Idaho Falls, ID;


daughter, Sue (Dennis Bates) Clark of Idaho Falls, ID;


brother, Vern (Pat) Clark, of Idaho Falls, ID;


Irene (Lamar) Griffith, of Idaho Falls, ID;


Betty (Keith) Boulter, of Idaho Falls, ID;


Bertha Cook, of Aberdeen, ID;


9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Clark, son, Frank Norris Clark, father, Frank Clark, mother, Roselie Clark, five brothers and one sister.


The family wishes to thank those who cared for Frank at Lincoln Court Retirement Community and One Source Hospice.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.


Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
