Georganna Clark Hymas, 85, died Sunday, May 16, 2004 at the Lost Rivers Extended Care Center.

She was born January 27, 1919 in Taylor, Idaho, the first of eleven children born to Frank and Rosalia Lords Clark. Georganna grew up on a farm and attended school in Taylor. She had many wonderful memories of the times her family spent together. She learned to hoe sugar beets, and help on the farm until her brothers could be of assistance to their father. She also helped her mother with the daily chores and caring for the younger children.

On June 18, 1936, she married Donald Stanley Hymas in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They made their home in the Bone area where Don was herding sheep. In 1947, they moved to Howe, Idaho and spent the next two summers working on a farm raising potatoes. In 1948 they moved to the Lost River area and farmed until their retirement. Don passed away October 29, 2002. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served many years as a primary teacher, nursery leader, Primary President and later as a counselor. She also served in the Relief Society and as a visiting teacher for numerous years. Most recently she was in charge of making calls to check on people.

Georganna is known for her love of all her fellow men and kindness to all who were around her. She never wanted to hurt anyone or make anyone feel left out of anything and wanted everyone treated alike. She was a friend to all and an example to her family who will sorely miss her.

Surviving is a daughter, Sharon, (Ronald) Pearson; two sons, Cleve D. (Sally) Hymas and Clyde C. (Evelyn Hymas, all of Moore, ID; four brothers, Frank J., Delbert, Lloyd, and Vern Clark; three sisters, Irene Griffith, Betty Boulter, and Bertha Cook; 17 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Joan, who lived one day, a son, Ronald S. Hymas; three brothers, Joe, Burnett and Golden Clark.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moore L.D.S. Stake Center with Bishop Terry Schwartz conducting. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hawker Lost River Funeral Chapel and for one hour prior to services at the church.
