Jimmy Akins, 50, of Danville, passed away on November 22, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Jimmy was born on December 9, 1964 in Danville, IL, the son of Burton and Clara (Calvert) Akins. He married Paula McQueen on Valentine’s Day in 2001. She survives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Burton.
Jimmy was a big Chicago Bears fan and huge NASCAR fan pulling for Kyle Busch who was this year’s winner! Jimmy worked at KIK in Danville for 28 years as the Maintenance Supervisor. He liked to play poker and was known for living life to its fullest.
