Abraham Grabill and Hannah Pennewitt were married September 14, 1837, in Highland Co., Ohio by Joel Thurman, J. P.

On Sept. 9, 1848, in Original Book 15, page 289, Highland County Deed Records, Campbell G.
Dick and Sarah his wife conveyed 48 poles of land to Abraham Graybill, Aquilla Smith and
Sanford Williams "who were chosen to act as trustees of the Presbyterian Meeting House at
the Town of Marshall...for the use of the Presbyterian Church for a grave yard."
The original church was a small frame building erected in 1836 on this lot. The church was
never on the cemetery lot but was situated closer to the center of the village. This
cemetery is still used for burials.

Abraham Grabill, whose residence or place of abode is unknown, will take notice, that Hannah Grabill, of the county of Highland, State of Ohio, and wife of the said Abraham Grabill, on the 19th day of April, 1865, filed her petition in the Common Pleas Court of said county, for Alimony against the said Abraham Grabill, charging that without just cause, on or about the 17th day of September, 1860, he willfully abandoned and has since wholly refused and neglected to provide for the support of the said Hannah Grabill or her children; and that she prays for alimony to be decreed to her, out of certain real estate of which the said Abraham Grabill is seized in fee simple, situate in the town of Marshall, Highland county, Ohio, to-wit:
Part of In-lots Nos. 7 and 8, No. 7 measuring 48 1/2 feet in front on High Street, and running back the full length of the lot, 48 1/2 feet of said lot. No. 8 measuring 5 poles on the E. and W. lines, and 63 feet on north and south lines, being south part of said lot.
Said Grabill is required to answer said petition on or before the 13th of June next.
