Full Name: Hall, William J; Present Post Office address: Cedar Bluff RFD, was born on 6th March 1833 at Belton, in the County of Anderson in the State of South Carolina; first entered the service as Private, on 4th July 1861 at Prospect Camp Ground, Floyd Co, GA in the Co "G" 21st GA Volunteers and continued until 1st May 1862 and was mounted as cavalryman – in 6th GA Reg Co "G". Re-Enlisted as Lieutenant, on 1863 at Loudon, Tenn in the 6th GA Reg Co "G" and continued until Close of War 1865 and never missed roll call but once, and then with legal excuse.
