The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola. Burial will be at Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was born November 1, 1928, in Noble, the son of Irl Raymond and Lizzie Belle (Martin) Lutz. He married Helen Grace Seesengood in 1951; she survives.
Other survivors include three children, Martha "Marty" Brashears of Mt. Carmel, Carol J. Turner of Arcola, and Jerry Lutz of Hindsboro; eight grandchildren; and thirty-one great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Mr. Lutz was formerly employed by the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Kemp Church of Christ.
