Clarence J. Billinger, 85, Victoria, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at St. John's Health Care Center, Victoria. He was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Victoria to John A. and Catherine (Sander) Billinger.

He married Virginia Faith (Stephens) on March 20, 1999, in Russell. He was a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three daughters, Diane Larson, Russell, Karen Brull, Victoria, and Mary Arrambidez, Tyler, Texas; two step-sons, Tom Porter, Hanau, Germany, and Roger Porter, Chahalis, Wash.; a sister, Alberta "Sis" Augustine, Hays; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alfred Billinger, and three sisters, Katie Kuhn, Irene Schmidt, and Mathilda "Mattie" Kippes.

Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, with military honors by Hays American Legion. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday, both at Cline's Mortuary of Victoria, 412 Main, Victoria. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary at 8 p.m., both at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to St. Fidelis Church Air Conditioning Fund, Victoria Knights of Columbus or Masses in care of the mortuary.
