He was born May 18, 1932, in Springfield, the son of Shelby and Bertha Meridith Wallace.
He married Mary L. Bown in 1957 in Springfield.
Mr. Wallace lived in Springfield all of his life and retired from Sangamo Electric in 1979 and from Memorial Medical Center in 1997.
Survivors: wife, Mary L.; a son; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Delbert Wallace of Atlanta, Ga., and James Wallace of Elkhart; three sisters, Beulah Merritt of Jerseyville and Mrs. William (Marilyn) Krause and Mrs. Don (Janie) Sheley, both of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating.
