Marilyn L. Kraus, 80, of Springfield died at 3:07 PM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at her home. She was born on May 5, 1937 in Springfield to Shelby F. and Bertha (Merridith) Wallace. She married William Kraus on May 5, 1956 and he survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Karen (Kevin) Geist of Riverton; two sons, William C. Kraus, Jr. and Robert J. Kraus both of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Emily Kraus, Chris Kraus, Jacob (Brooke Horton) Williamson and their children Elaura and Natalie, Brea Williamson and her daughter Jane, Sean (Heather) Pidcock and their children Lily, Landon, Wesley and Alexis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Thomas Kraus and Donald Kraus; one grandson, Bill James Kraus; nine brothers and sisters, Shelby Wallace, Mona Lee Wallace, Jim Wallace, Delbert Wallace, Beulah Merritt, Roland Wallace, Janie Sheley, Nancy Wallace, and Shirley Wallace.

Marilyn was a resident of Springfield for all of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus 4179 and worked bingo at Little Flower Church for twelve years. She also enjoyed reading, word searches, family holidays and spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation: 4-7 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home Springfield. Prayer Service will be held at 4 PM.

Funeral Mass: 11 AM, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Jim Isaacson officiating.

Burial will follow at Chatham Cemetery.
