Elmer A. Xander Jr., 66, of 1924 Hood St. died at 11:50 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital.
A lifetime resident of Springfield, Mr. Xander was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mary Catherine Xander Sr.
Mr. Xander retired from the Weaver Manufacturing Co. after 48 years of service.
He was a member of Harvard Park Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel; one daughter; two brothers, Albert and Wilmer; one sister, Annamary Faria of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; two grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bisch Memorial Home with Rev. Edward Stratton officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
