Elmer A. Xander, Sr., 80, of S. 11th St. was dead on arrival Tuesday at St. John's Hospital. Death apparently was due to natural causes. A retired employe of Allis-Chalmers Mfrg. Co., Mr. Xander was born at Liberty, and had resided in Springfield for 60 years.He was a member of the Lutheran Memorial Church. Surviving are his widow, Ella; three sons, Elmer A. Jr., of Springfield, Albert E. of Santa Monica, Calif., and Wilmer of Denver, Colo.; two step-sons, James and Carl W. Cormeny, both of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Annamary Faria of Oakdale, Long Island; two step-daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Reed and Mrs. Charlene Onits, both of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Ora Chumley of Roswell, N.
