Robert "Bob" Pevey, 71, of McComb, MS, died on December 4, 2015 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Jones Family Funeral Services from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and continues Monday from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM in the Jones Family Chapel. Burial will be in Pike Memorial Gardens. Dr. David Millican, Clyde Coker, Jr. and Jack McKenzie will officiate.
Mr. Pevey was born August 18, 1944 in McComb. He was the son of Robert and Dillie Smith Pevey.
He was a member of Navilla Baptist Church, he attended Fernwood and Magnolia schools. He retired as an oilfield consultant, after 53 years of service in the oilfield.
Mr. Pevey is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Felix Wayne Pevey; his grandparents, Fleet and Leola Garner Pevey.
Survivors include his wife, Wessie Powell Pevey of McComb; two daughters, Denise Powell of Fernwood and Mechelle Burnette of Jayess; a sister, Irene Holder of McComb; two grandchildren, Brently and his wife Ashley Pevey of Jayess and Kayla Burnette of Jayess; three grandchildren, Ashton, James and Saige Pevey.
Pallbearers will be Baron O'Quin, Jeremy Pollard, Steve McKenzie, Darrel Harness, Wayne Reid and James Oliver Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Reid, Charles Ray Powell and Aaron Alexander.
