AUSTIN - Genevieve Adams, age 86, of Galveston, died Monday, December 28, 1998, in Austin, Texas.

She graduated from Northwestern Louisiana State University. She was an elementary school teacher in various public schools in Louisiana. She also taught at Sacred Heart Elementary School in Galveston. She worked for the Fish and Wildlife Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce. She volunteered for the Roeenberg Library Literacy Program, the Richmond State School and Sacred Heart Church.

She loved flowers and gardening, travel, and helping other people. Most of all, she loved her children and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Comeaux; her son,
Frank Adams; her grandchildren, David Comeaux, James
Comeaux, Cathleen Comeaux- Bach, Joel Adams, Patrick
Comeaux and Ian Swenson; her great-grandchildren, David, Valery and Aaron; her very special friends, Elizabeth Ann Hasselmeier Adams and Mary Hasselmeier.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9,1999, at the Sacred Heart Church, Galveston followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Daily Bread or the Rosenberg Library Children's Section. Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar, Austin, Texas
